BOARD OF HEALTH 

The El Paso County Board of Health is the governing body for the El Paso County Department of Health and Environment.  The Board of Health is responsible for developing public health policies, approving a local public health plan, providing advice to the Public Health Director, and overseeing Health Department financial matters, among other responsibilities.  Members should have a wide range of interest in El Paso County public health issues. 

The board consists of five members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners for five-year terms.  Terms are limited to two full consecutive terms.  (Job Desc.) (By-Laws) (Resl)

Board meetings are held on the third Monday of the month.  Work sessions begin at 2:00 p.m. with the regular meeting following at 3:00 p.m.  Meeting dates may be subject to change and special meetings may be scheduled as necessary.  Regular meetings are held at 305 S. Union Boulevard, in the Auditorium, Colorado Springs, Colorado, unless otherwise indicated.  Meeting times and locations can be checked on the website at www.elpasocountyhealth.org .
