El Paso County Citizen Budget Oversight Committee (CBOC)
The El Paso County citizen Budget Oversight Committee (CBOC), an ad hoc committee established by the El Paso County Board of Commissioners, reviews the overall financial condition of the county, reviews the program budgets, prioritizes each of thee programs, ensures the county's compliance with federal and state mandates, accomplished the goals outlined in the County Strategic Plan, and provides program funding recommendations to the County Commissioners in an executive summary.
CBOC is composed of 17 voting members representing a cross section of the community, ex-officio members representing county advisory boards and committees, the County Administrator, the County Budget Officer, and two Board of County Commissioners liaisons.
The voting members are citizen appointments and they shall not be affiliated with nor shall they be receiving any form of compensation from the county or any organization controlled or appointed by El Paso County.
